A typical engagement would include the following:

  • Needs assessment and planning. We begin by working with you to develop a mutual understanding of your need, underlying issues, and your preferred way of engaging with us. We work with you to identify the best approach for your needs, which could include outsourced software development, blended teams, technical staffing, consulting and training, teaching by example, and contract-to-permanent staff placement. Our goal is to deliver systems that you can operate, maintain, and enhance without further dependence on us.

    This is typically a two-week effort that involves your key stakeholders and one or two SolutionsIQ personnel. Deliverables include defined business objectives, available skill assessment, budget, and expected return on investment.

  • First delivery. We work with you to identify and deliver the quickest win possible — a slice of completed functionality that will immediately deliver business value. The team for this deliverable may include expertise in project management, architecture, user interface design, database, networking, testing, and QA. This effort usually takes one to two months and involves two to four SolutionsIQ personnel.

  • Major project. At this stage we focus on more complete delivery to fully address the issues identified during need assessment. This may involve multiple releases over a period of time, teams of four to ten people, and a timeframe of three months or more.

  • Transition plan. We work with you to develop and implement a plan that meets your long-term needs. This can include a transfer of responsibilities and/or members of our team to your team, or we can continue to fulfill ongoing engineering responsibilities.
